The CHild Identification Program (CHIP) will be offered from 2-8 on the main floor of the City Hall building. Cummins in conjunction with the Columbus Police Department, is a community outreach program providing parents with a jump drive. Many influences from Chopin to Miles Davis, Beethoven to Stevie Ray Vaughn. The flutes are a very expressive instruments. They allow the player to express not only the notes they want but the feeling the player wishes to express. They each have their own tone, their own voice. It's up to us as players to make them sing, or cry, or be silent when necessary.
Columbus Indiana Children’s ChoirCity Hall Plaza - 5:15 –5:45pm
The Columbus Indiana Children's Choir is thrilled to return to Ethnic Expo once again. CICC singers from Bartholomew and the 7 surrounding counties will perform a variety of music from around the world including songs from India, Europe, Africa and the USA. CICC a cooperative effort of the Indianapolis Children's Choir and the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic www.thecip.org.

Southern Indiana Pipes and DrumsCity Hall Steps - 11:45a-12:15p

Southern Indiana Pipes and Drums emerged in 2005, as a band of Merry Pipers and Drummers from the scattered corners of Indiana (and beyond). One of the largest bagpipe bands in the region, the active membership includes over 30 individuals ranging in age from 7 to 78 and in experience from fresh beginner to competition grade piper.
Conga Jazz1st Street Stage - 12:15–1:15pm
Larry Michael Calland, an Indiana native, reared in Toledo Ohio, is known for his Afro-Cuban style of play. Larry expanded his musical adeptness while attending Kent State University, providing the rhythmic accompaniment for the nationally renown African Dance Ensemble of K.S.U., and later returning to Toledo to form the group "Magia Jazz Fusion," a mainstay at Rusty's Jazz Café for many years. The group enjoyed many highlights, such as opening for Al Jarreau, Spro Gyra, and Dizzy Gillespie. Larry also studied with percussion greats, Santana's Raul Reko and Carl Peraza, and Africa's Master Drummer Babatunde Olatunji.
IU African American Choral Ensemble City Hall Plaza - 1:15–1:45pm
The critically acclaimed African American Choral Ensemble preserves the legacy of African American choral music through transformative interpretations of this unique American art form. The Choral Ensemble features a broad repertoire including spirituals, folk forms, traditional and contemporary gospel music, and formally composed works by African American composers.
The Grimes Girls1st Street Stage - 1:45p–2:45pm
The Grimes Girls' ability to play several different genres of music- from sacred to classical, from bluegrass fiddling to Celtic fiddling- with precision and aplomb, causes them to be in high demand at a great variety of events. Combined with their enthusiasm, love of people, and unpredictable attempts at joke-telling, this makes them a memorable act indeed.

StrongHeart Singers are a contemporary style powwow drum. It could be said that StrongHeart bring Northeastern powwows a taste of the charismatic western powwows while keeping the balance with eastern traditions and language. Website includes helpful & interesting information about drum etiquette.
Ballet Folklorico de MexicoCity Hall Plaza - 4:15–5:00pm
The dance-like form of expression of human sensibility, one of whose main features are rhythm, body movement and moesica-is one of the longest established static demonstrations and age in Mexico.
Over time, the evolution of dance it the creation of popular dance expressions that are the root of tradition and folklore.

Kerosene Cucumbers1st Street Stage - 5:00–6:00pm
The Kerosene Cucumbers are comprised of four native-born Hoosiers who push their acoustic instruments to the edge. They specialize in all forms of “grass music” – some blue, some new and some tried and true. The Cucumbers will mix up your evening by adding in a little rock n’ roll and maybe some country, all while showcasing their mastery of guitar, banjo, mandolin and upright bass. With more than 20 years of playing together, they have developed a unique repertoire that puts the flame to its name.
Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn BandCity Hall Plaza - 6:00–7:30pm
The Big Damn Band is very much a family affair, with the good reverend on finger-style resonator guitar and lead vocals, his wife “Washboard” Breezy Peyton on washboard and vocals, and distant cousin Aaron “Cuz” Persinger on drums and bucket. The band’s home base is deep in the hills of Southern Indiana’s Brown County
